For manufacturing enterprises, the primary task is to strengthen the quality control of raw materials for cable production. Raw materials serve as the foundation of products; to ensure product quality, efforts must begin at the production source. The quality of copper conductors, aluminum conductors, and cable materials directly determines the performance of wire and cable products. It is recommended that enterprises test certain critical properties of these raw materials upon purchase, such as the DC resistance of copper conductors, mechanical properties, and dielectric strength of cable materials, to ensure the purchased materials meet quality standards. Upon arrival at the factory, the internal quality inspection department conducts batch-based quality checks of raw materials, preventing a sole focus on low costs while neglecting material quality.

Secondly, manufacturing enterprises must enhance quality management and process technology learning. To improve the quality of wire and cable products, enterprises should first implement relevant quality management and technical training programs, study production and inspection standards, and establish a comprehensive quality management control system by considering various factors. They must also have corresponding mechanisms to address issues identified during production. Quality documentation should be refined, complete process cards should be created, and measures must be taken to prevent errors caused by the misuse or mixing of process cards. Employees must be required to strictly adhere to quality documentation during production, and their quality control awareness should be strengthened.

Furthermore, manufacturing enterprises must strengthen quality inspection and control efforts. They should prioritize routine testing, sampling tests, and factory exit inspections, establish and refine inspection procedures, and conduct systematic and orderly inspections of raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished goods. Special emphasis should be placed on ensuring the coverage of routine tests and 100% factory exit inspections, with prompt and effective rework or repair of non-compliant samples. The goal is to detect non-conforming items early, analyze causes promptly, adjust processes and improve management in a timely manner, and prevent substandard products from leaving the factory.

Raw material enterprises should enhance collaboration with cable manufacturers, strengthen research on key, cutting-edge, and foundational technologies to ensure quality. Through technological innovation, they should accelerate industrial restructuring and improve product and industry quality. They must consciously resist illegal and non-compliant practices, promote the development of a quality supervision system for wires and cables, and contribute positive energy to the industry.
